UMTS and LTE Pre-launch/post-launch data analysis and optimization.

Starting with Drive Route packages using predictions coverage. Until verifications of satisfactory KPIs through Anova Reports of Post-launch drives.

Responsibilities include planning and data Analysis.  Tools used: Atoll, Actix, RFDS , CSS, MapInfo, Google Earh, Tilt Calculators.

Coordination with Drive Teams activities and engineering reports to customer (Alcatel-Lucent/AT&T) for Single Sites Verification and Clusters. L3 Actix solving call drops/HO Fails/Setup Fails by modifying the operator’s Wireless  System parameters.

Processing Data JDSU and NEMO kits, TEMS.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS :

1.- Market Lead for Utah and Montana Markets on UMTS and LTE Pre-launch and  Post-Launch optimization. Five drive teams on the field and 3 engineers in office delivering 60 UMTS/LTE sites per month.

2.- I have trained associate engineers on RF Theory, Actix/MapInfo programs, internal tools (made in VBA Macros). Also, Event Analysis using L3 messaging and HO call flows used for  verification/optimization process of UMTS and LTE Networks.

3.- Creation of tools. I have written in VBA Excel tools to efficiently extract information from the network to check neighbors, PSC/PCI, location, Azimuths, CellRef, DL Frequency and info from the sites of interest.

Fiber Optic Network design (remotely from CA)

HFC (Hybrid Fiber Coax) Network Design. Troubleshooting of Fiber Optic backbone. Testing an calibrating Optical and RF levels for Nodes and Hubs. 1.- In charge of Fiber Optic Network design for 150 optical nodes. Including Coaxial RF design based on “Fiber to the last active” architecture.

2.- Trained technical personnel on fiber optic concepts, equipments, splicing, testing and troubleshooting.

3.- Positioned Inversiones Desnetel as main provider of Internet solutions in Peru for the CATV industry. In addition, main provider of cable modems in the country.

2.- Developed a contract sales to an important MSO in Peru for 25,000 set top boxes. Including testing of products in Miami-USA, Shipped to Chile for frequency modification and shipment to Lima-Peru.

3.- Developed manufacturers’ contact information from a Trade Show in China, China Content Broadcasting Network - CCBN (Beijing-China) to find CAS (Conditional Access System) solutions providers to be incorporated as new solutions for the company. As well as set top Box manufacturers.
